Altitude sickness

Areas above 3000m are called plateaus. The ambient air on the plateau is thin, the atmospheric pressure and oxygen partial pressure are low, the climate is cold and dry, and the ultraviolet radiation is strong. People who migrate from the plain to the plateau or stay in the plateau for a short time, due to the lack of adaptability to the plateau environment, a group of diseases that are characterized by hypoxia are called altitudes (diseases of high altitude), or unacclimatization to high altitude), also known as mountain sickness. Plateau disease can also occur in areas below 3000m above sea level. With the development of tourism, the incidence of altitude sickness is increasing. Plateau disease is a common cause of death among plateau travelers.
