Cutaneous mucosal lymph node syndrome

Skin and mucosal lymph node syndrome, also known as Kawasaki disease and skin-mucosa-lymph node syndrome (MCLS), is an acute fever and rash disease in young children. Its characteristic manifestations are: skin and mucosal changes and non-suppurative lymphadenopathy, the course of disease is self-limited, and a small number of patients may also suddenly die due to coronary arteritis. The disease was first proposed by Kawasaki (1961) and formally reported in 1967, and was named "Acute Fever Skin Mucosal Lymph Node Syndrome with Finger (Toe) Specific Desquamation". The disease is widely distributed in Japan, and many cases have been reported in China in recent years.
