Chronic myeloid leukemia

Chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML) is a malignant tumor that affects the blood and bone marrow. It is characterized by the production of a large number of immature white blood cells that accumulate in the bone marrow and inhibit normal bone marrow hematopoiesis. Spread throughout the body, leading to anemia, bleeding, infection and organ infiltration. Chronic myeloid leukemia is a relatively rare malignant tumor, accounting for about 0.3% of all cancers and 20% of adult leukemias; in the general population, about 1 to 2 people per 100,000 have the disease.
