1. Hereditary diseases.

2. Four types of skin lesions.

3. Histopathological changes:

(1) Dominant hereditary ichthyosis: moderate epidermal hyperkeratosis with thinning or disappearance of the granular layer.

(2) Sexually connected ichthyosis: excessive keratinization, normal or slightly thick granular layer.

(3) Epidermolytic hyperkeratosis ichthyosis: hyperkeratosis, epidermal cell release, particle degeneration.

Diagnosis

Differential diagnosis

Symptoms of abnormal fish scales are easily confused:

1. Dominant ichthyosis vulgaris: (1) 3 months to 5 years old after birth; (2) dry skin, covered with grayish white to light brown diamond or polygonal scales, the periphery is tilted, the center is close to the skin; (3) Mainly distributed on the extremities and back of the extremities.

2. Sexual ichthyosis vulgaris: (1) 3 months after birth, only males; 2) dry and thick skin, overlying large dark brown scales, winter heavy summer light. With age, the damage remains unchanged or even worse; (3) skin lesions are distributed throughout the body, with the heaviest involvement on the head, side, ears, and neck. The flexor side is often involved.

3. Congenital ichthyosis-like erythroderma: (1) There are armor-like multi-layer scales at birth, and there is a rough moist surface after shedding, which may be slack; (2) severe hands and feet are claw-shaped; 3) Autosomal dominant inheritance.

4. Lamellar ichthyosis: (1) After the baby is born, it is tightly wrapped with a layer of extensive cotton-cotton gelatinous membrane. After a few days, the membrane falls off, the skin is extensively flushed, and there are large multi-angled scales with central adhesion and free edges; (2) excessive palmarization, excessive growth of nails and hair; (3) 2/3 patients have valgus valgus.
