Severe pain on the radial side when the wrist is deflected ulnar

Introduction

Introduction The ulnar deviation of the sacral styloid fracture was positive, and the severe pain occurred on the temporal side when the wrist joint was skewed to the ulnar side.

Cause

Cause

Reasons for severe pain on the temporal side of the wrist when it is skewed to the ulnar side:

(1) Causes of the disease: Mostly caused by indirect violence and pulling violence.

(B) the pathogenesis: clinical often encountered simple tibial styloid fractures, mostly due to falling palms on the ground, violence through the boat, the moon bone transmission. The fracture fragments are mostly transverse or slightly oblique and are displaced to the distal end and the temporal side. In addition, if the wrist is excessively ulnar, the sudden pulling of the radial collateral ligament may also cause a styloid fracture, and the appearance is avulsion.

Diagnosis of severe pain on the temporal side of the wrist when it is skewed to the ulnar side:

1. The general fracture sign, that is, the distal part of the tibia of the injured wrist presents symptoms such as swelling, pain and tenderness.

2. The ulnar deviation test is positive when the wrist joint is skewed to the ulnar side and there is severe pain on the temporal side.

3. The history of trauma is clearer.

4. Clinical manifestations Pain, tenderness and ulnar deviation in the styloid process of the humerus.

5. X-ray examination of the conventional X-ray film can confirm the diagnosis.

Diagnosis

Differential diagnosis

Differential diagnosis of severe pain on the temporal side of the wrist when it is skewed to the ulnar side:

The diagnosis should be differentiated from the following symptoms:

1. Hemorrhage and activity limitation in the wrist joint The humerus and ulnar styloid fractures are mainly characterized by local swelling, pain, tenderness and bone rubbing. Blood stasis under the skin, heavy blood in the wrist joint, limited wrist activity.

2. Pain in the temporal part of the wrist joint The degenerative change of the finger joint is manifested in the Heberden"s nodule of the distal interphalangeal joint, which occurs in the middle finger and the index finger, and the Bouchard's nodule of the proximal interphalangeal joint is less likely to occur. Often mistaken for rheumatoid nodules, degenerative changes in the first metacarpophalangeal joint can cause pain in the temporal side of the wrist, and other metacarpophalangeal joints are rarely involved.

3. Wrist contusion When the person falls and hands on the ground, the wrist joint is the joint that first receives and transmits external force to the proximal end of the limb. Therefore, the wrist joint is susceptible to injury, such as improper treatment after injury, can cause changes in the relationship between the carpal bones, the so-called wrist instability.
