off-white nodules

Introduction

Introduction Nodule: refers to a small round protrusion on the surface or internal tissue of a living body. The pubis, ischium, thalamus, and ankle have nodules. "Worm. Plexus" virus: degree of vigilance, worm. Gray-white nodules: These small protrusions are grayish white. Many diseases may have symptoms of gray-white nodules, such as scleritis, and gray-white nodular masses are also characteristic of metastatic cancer. For localized, substantial, deep lesions, the location can be as deep as dermis or subcutaneous, and can be caused by inflammatory infiltrates (such as nodular erythema) or metabolite deposits (such as nodular xanthoma).

Cause

Cause

Many diseases may have symptoms of gray-white nodules, such as scleritis, and gray-white nodular masses are also characteristic of metastatic cancer. For localized, substantial, deep lesions, the location can be as deep as dermis or subcutaneous, and can be caused by inflammatory infiltrates (such as nodular erythema) or metabolite deposits (such as nodular xanthoma). The skin lesions are round or elliptical, can be bulged on the surface, or can not be raised, need to be palpated to detect, touch a certain hardness or infiltration. The nodules can be absorbed and dissipated, or they can be broken into ulcers, and scars are formed afterwards.

There are rounded small protrusions in the surface or internal tissues of the living body and these round small protrusions are grayish white.

Auxiliary inspection:

1. Laboratory examination: there may be increased white blood cells, increased erythrocyte sedimentation rate and increased anti-streptolysin "O".

2. Histopathological examination: the lesions are mainly fat septal panniculitis, small intimal hyperplasia in the fat interval, lymphocytes and neutrophil infiltration around the blood vessels, eosinophils, thickening of the blood vessel wall, occlusion of the umbilical cavity . Late stage shows fat-fibrosis thickening.

Diagnosis

Differential diagnosis

1. Itchy sinus nodules: Nodular pruritus is a variant of localized neurodermatitis, which is characterized by a sickle-like nodule with acute itching.

2. Thermal nodules: Radioactive development of nodule absorption is higher than surrounding thyroid tissue. Such nodules are generally more functional nodules, and patients often have hyperthyroidism. Hot nodules are generally not cancerous.
