The key features are:
(a) Repeated arson without any obvious motives, such as getting money, revenge or political extremism.
(b) There is a strong interest in watching the fire.
(C) There is a growing sense of tension before taking action, and there is a strong excitement immediately after implementation.

Differential diagnosis
Differential diagnosis of pathological arson should be differentiated from the following:
(a) Intentional arson without psychiatric impediment (in this case there is a clear motive) (Z03.2 suspicious mental disorder to be observed)
(b) Adolescents with conduct disorder arson (F91.1), along with evidence of other behavioral disorders such as theft, assault or truancy.
(c) Adult arson with socially morbid personality (F60.2) is accompanied by evidence of other persistent social behavioral disorders, such as attacks, or other manifestations such as lack of interest in the interests and feelings of others.
(d) Tempering in schizophrenia (F20.-) The typical arson is a reaction to delusional or imperative auditory hallucinations.
(e) Patients with organic mental disorders arson (F00-09), fires are caused by confusion, memory loss, or lack of understanding of behavioral consequences, or the combined effects of the above factors.
