Neurogenic urinary frequency

Introduction

Introduction Neurogenic urinary frequency refers to non-infectious urinary urgency. It is an independent disease in pediatrics. The age of children is generally between 2 and 11 years old. It occurs mostly in preschool children: its incidence is urinary frequency, once every 2 to 10 minutes. Urinary urgency, one can not endure a moment of urinating, the smaller children often wet the pants for this, can be secondary to urinary tract infection or genital eczema. Most of the children's neurological urinary frequency is unintentionally discovered by parents. When some primary medical units visit, they are often misdiagnosed as urinary tract infections and treated with antibiotics, but the results are minimal.

Cause

Cause

On the one hand, the development of cerebral cortex in children is not perfect, the inhibition function on the primary urinary center of the spinal cord is poor, and it is easy to be affected by external adverse stimuli. On the other hand, some of the children's lives cause mental stress and cause mental state. Bad stimuli. For example, changes in the living environment, children's initial commitment, lack of mental preparation for school, being fostered to others, sudden separation of parents, death of loved ones, and fear of examination or fear of certain animals. These may cause mental stress and anxiety in children, and the function of inhibiting urination occurs, and the result shows that the number of urination increases.

Neurogenic urinary frequency occurs frequently in preschool children, especially in 4-5 years old. It is manifested as an increase in the number of urination per day but no increase in urine output, and normal urine examination. The number of urinations per day is increased to 20-30 times, or even more than ten times per hour. The amount of urine per urination is small, sometimes only a few drops, and there is no frequent urination after sleep, mainly before going to bed, eating or class. You can diagnose according to these characteristics and do related checks at the same time.

Diagnosis

Differential diagnosis

Differential diagnosis of neurological urinary frequency:

1. frequent urination, increased urine output, taking diuretics or antihypertensive drugs containing diuretic ingredients, or drinking coffee, strong tea or a large amount of beer, drugs, caffeine, theophylline and other diuretic components.

2. frequent urination and more urine, accompanied by polydipsia, more food, no cause of fatigue and weight loss, common diabetes.

3. Frequent urination accompanied by urgency, dysuria, and the feeling of not exhausting after urination. Common cystitis or prostatitis, other urinary tract diseases.

4. Urinary frequency accompanied by urgency, dysuria, and hematuria (or pyuria), urinary tract infection (or purulent infection), kidney tuberculosis, bladder tumor, bladder stones and so on.

5. Frequent urination, and the number of urination is 3-4 times more than the usual diabetes insipidus.

6. Frequent urination without other symptoms, if there is no physiological reason, bladder disease should be suspected, women may be caused by oppression of the uterus during pregnancy, and other gynecological diseases may be suspected.
