Changes in bone mineral density (BMD) can be monitored using a bone densitometer. The orthotopic spine and/or the bilateral femurs are generally used. When the patient's spine has obvious hyperplasia or deformation, bilateral femoral scans are more meaningful.

Clinical and muscle tension identification.

Muscle tension is a stretch reflex caused by slow and sustained pulling of the muscle. Low brainstem regulates muscle tone. Even when the body is quiet, there is a certain muscle tension in the skeletal muscle to maintain a certain posture. During the activity, the muscles of the limb also contract on a certain muscle tension background. The stretch reflex of the spinal cord can produce some muscle tension, but it is far from maintaining the posture and balance of the body. Under normal circumstances, the stretch reflex of the spinal cord is regulated by the high center. Animal experiments have shown that the high center has twofold regulation of muscle tension, that is, some parts have a facilitating effect on muscle tension and strengthen muscle tension; while others have an inhibitory effect, which weakens muscle tension. Using a directional instrument to stimulate different parts of the animal's brain, it is observed that certain parts of the brain have the effect of inhibiting muscle tension and movement. These parts are called inhibition areas; while others have the effect of strengthening muscle tension and movement, called easy Zone. The ventral medial part of the brainstem reticular structure is the site of the inhibitory zone, and the dorsolateral part of the brainstem reticular structure, the cap of the pons, the central gray matter of the midbrain, and the cover are the sites of the facilitation zone. In addition, the medial part of the hypothalamus and thalamus also has a facilitating effect on muscle tension and movement, and thus can also be included in the concept of facilitation area. From the perspective of the intensity of the activity, the activities in the Yihua District are relatively strong, and the activities in the suppression zone are relatively weak; therefore, in the balance regulation of muscle tension, the facilitation zone is slightly dominant.
