Introduction

The main symptoms are: alternating or persistent nasal congestion, headache, nosebleeds and purulent sputum. Nasal congestion is the main symptom, with alternating or persistent, one side of the nose, usually unilateral nasal congestion; to bilateral deviation, such as S-type deviation, the nasal congestion is mostly bilateral. However, if one side of the person is deflected, such as the inferior turbinate compensatory hypertrophy on the contralateral side, bilateral nasal congestion may also occur.

(1) Trauma: Trauma is an important cause of this disease. It occurs mostly in childhood, and the history of trauma has long been forgotten. At that time, because the various components of the nasal septum were not fully developed, they showed no symptoms. Later, with the increase of age, they gradually developed into a nasal septum deviation. Adults may also cause nasal septum deviation or dislocation of the nasal septum due to trauma.

(B) dysplasia: the nasal septum was originally composed of several pieces of cartilage, and later ossified, the bone nasal septum appeared. During development, due to various reasons, the development of bone and cartilage is unbalanced, resulting in deformity or deflection, or formation of a condyle or ridge at the joint between the bones of the nasal septum or bone and cartilage. The adenoid hypertrophy, the mouth opening of the mouth, and the development of the nasal septum of the hard palate are limited, and the nasal septum may also occur.

(C) the oppressive factors: intranasal tumor or foreign body oppression, the nasal septum can be biased to one side.

(1) Nasal congestion: alternating or persistent. Simple "C" shape deflection or sag, causing ipsilateral nasal congestion or alternating nasal congestion. Compensatory hypertrophy of the contralateral turbinate and "S" type deviation may cause bilateral nasal congestion.

(2) Headache: The partial curvature of the turbinate can cause ipsilateral reflex headache.

(3) Nasal bleeding: The convex surface of the deviation or the mucosa of the sacral condyle becomes thinner, and is often stimulated by airflow or dust, so it often occurs dry and erosive, leading to nosebleeds.

Intranasal examination to determine the type and extent of nasal septum deviation and whether there are other diseases in the nose, such as primary lesions - tumors, foreign bodies or secondary lesions - sinusitis, polyps and so on.

1, nasal septum or nasal cartilage exposure: nasal septum or nasal cartilage exposure is one of the symptoms of nasal bone fractures, nasal bone fractures are mostly caused by trauma, clinically have nasal tears and nosebleeds, can be closed or open. Also often associated with other facial bone or skull base fractures.

2, the nose bridge collapsed: the nose collapsed, also known as the saddle nose. Can be divided into light, medium and heavy. The collapsed nose is lower than the normal height, and the nasal back is deformed in different degrees. However, the tip of the nose is saddle-shaped and hence the name. Mostly caused by trauma, infection and congenital malformations.

3. Nasal column defect: The small column defect is the result of partial or complete defect of the nasal column due to nasal trauma or infection.
