Pathogenesis:

The occurrence of cervical edema is related to the tissue composition of the cervix and the anatomy of the pelvis:

(1) At the beginning of the third trimester, the mucopolysaccharide in the matrix of the cervical tissue takes up a lot of water, and the cervical tissue is highly hypertrophied, making the cervical tissue extremely soft. Soft cervical tissue, if stressed, can easily lead to edema. With the expansion of the cervix and the first exposure, the anterior lip of the cervix is sandwiched between the two bone tissues of the fetal head and the pubic symphysis. In addition, the maternal prematurely holds out the breath, so that the incompletely expanded cervix is over-stressed and the blood flow is blocked. As a result, edema and congestion occur. Changes in histology and hemorheology occur in the edema of the cervix.

(2) Cervical vein and lymphatic drainage disorder, leading to vasospasm, tissue hypoxia.

2, cervical edema: the expansion and disappearance of the cervix after entering the labor process is not only the result of passive traction, but also caused by its active changes, plays a vital role in childbirth, but due to a series of histochemistry in the cervix during pregnancy And changes in blood rheology make it more prone to edema.
