Introduction

Introduction Ear blockage is a symptom of sudden deafness, and the ear blockage usually precedes deafness. Sudden deafness (hereinafter referred to as abrupt) is a sudden onset of sensory neurological deafness, also known as violent. Its onset is rapid, rapid progress, and the treatment effect is directly related to the time of treatment. It should be regarded as an emergency department for otology. Causes vasospasm of the inner ear, causing blood flow of blood vessels to decrease, secretion of endolymph fluid is reduced, intermediate metabolites are aggregated, osmotic pressure in the cochlear tube is increased, and the perilymphatic space and the blood in the blood vessel penetrate into the inner lymph to form effusion. The cause of the disease is viral infection, vascular disease, endolymphedema, labyrinthine rupture, and the combination of the above factors.

Cause

Cause

The cause of the sudden death is unknown, and there are more than 100 causes of the disease in the literature, many of which are rare. According to Mattox (1977), vasospasm of the inner ear causes a decrease in vascular blood flow, decreased secretion of endolymph, accumulation of intermediate metabolites, increased osmotic pressure in the cochlear space, and periplasmic lymphatic infiltration of the perilymphatic space and blood vessels. And the formation of fluid. The cause of the disease is viral infection, vascular disease, endolymphedema, labyrinthine rupture, and the combination of the above factors.

(1) Deafness: Hearing loss can occur in an instant, hours or days, and there are sudden deafness in the morning. The slower deafness can gradually increase, and it will not stop until a few days later. The degree is from mild to full. It can be temporary or permanent. Mostly one side, occasionally both sides occur simultaneously or sequentially. It can be a cochlear or a sinus.

(2) Tinnitus: There are many tinnitus before and after deafness, accounting for about 70%. It usually appears several hours before deafness, mostly buzzing, and can last for 1 month or longer. Some patients may emphasize tinnitus and ignore hearing loss.

Diagnosis

Differential diagnosis

Differential diagnosis of ear plugs:

1. Hearing defects: Moderate hearing loss refers to a hearing loss of 40-70 decibels, severe deafness refers to a hearing loss of 70-90 decibels, and deep deafness refers to a hearing loss of more than 90 decibels. Regardless of the degree of deafness, medical testing and medical treatment are required.

2. Hearing loss: The outside voice is transmitted to the inner ear of the person through two channels. One is the air conduction pathway through the external auditory canal, the tympanic membrane, the ossicular chain, and the vestibular window. The other is the movement of the skull and the compression of the bone. When the sound is transmitted to the inner ear, the shearing motion of the hair cells on the basement membrane of the cochlea produces an action potential, and the electrical signal is transmitted to the brain with the nerve to generate hearing. If a lesion occurs in any of the above pathways, hearing will be affected.
