Palm skin defect repair

Defects in the palm skin can be repaired with full-thickness skin flaps or distal flaps (such as forearm flaps). Treatment of diseases: hand tendon injury burns Indication The soft tissue of the hand is freshly damaged. Preoperative preparation 1. Injection of tetanus antitoxin. 2. Prophylactic antibiotics. Surgical procedure 1. Full-thickness skin repair: According to the hand surface of the hand, estimate the size of the skin defect, and cut the full thick skin from the donor area. The wound surface of the donor site is directly sutured according to the situation, or another skin graft is closed and then pressure-wrapped. The subcutaneous fat tissue is removed from the full-thickness skin piece that has been removed, and the shape of the skin piece is trimmed so that the shape of the wound surface is exactly the same. Then, use the thin wire to carefully suture the edge of the skin with the edge of the wound, and use a bandage for the annular pressure dressing. The pressure should be appropriate when wrapping, so that the palm surface is not too tight to affect the function. Finally fixed with a forearm plaster holder. 2. Proximal flap repair: The two arms cross each other, and the distal flap is taken from the appropriate part of the contralateral forearm or upper arm to repair the palm skin defect of the injured hand. The donor site is wounded for skin graft closure.
