Horizontal rectus Romero-Beroto fold

The horizontal rectus Romero-Beroto folding is introduced by Romero-Beroto et al., an extraocular muscle folding that is more commonly used in Mexico. The postoperative localization is relatively flat and has less effect on blood supply. Curing disease: Indication 1. The internal rectus muscle fold is suitable for external strabismus. 2. The external rectus muscle fold is suitable for esotropia. Contraindications When the internal or external rectus muscle is not fully paralyzed, the surgical effect is not obvious. When the paralysis is completely paralyzed, the operation is invalid and should be contraindicated. Surgical procedure 1. Make a corneal conjunctival incision and expose the internal or external rectus muscle. 2. Immediately after the point of attachment of the inner or outer rectus muscle, in the center of the tendon, the smooth eye is cut backwards, and the length of the cut is determined according to the shortening requirement. 3. The ends of the longitudinal slit are sutured with a 5-0 white silk thread, and the folded portion is flattened to both sides. 4, suture the ball conjunctiva.
