The gas in the intestinal lumen, mainly N2, CO2, O2, can be balanced by the penetration of mucous membranes into the blood. Part of the liquid in the intestine comes from ingested water, but most of it is accumulated digestive juice. Normal human digestive tract secretes 8 to 10 L of digestive juice within 24 hours. When there is low obstruction, there is less vomiting. Due to the dilatation of the intestine, the absorption function of the intestinal mucosa is reduced. Although some electrolytes are absorbed, the actual loss of water and electrolyte is still obvious.
