Urine specific gravity 3h test

The kidney has the ability to regulate the water balance in the body. This test is to give a certain amount of water in the normal diet to observe the urine volume of various urine and nocturnal urine during the day, and to infer the kidney function. The kidney has a regulating function for the balance of water and electrolytes in the body during normal conditions. In this experiment, under the conditions of daily diet, observe the changes of urine volume and urine specific gravity during the day and night, so as to judge the function of kidney concentration and release. This test is also known as the 3h urine specific gravity test. Basic Information Specialist classification: urinary examination classification: urine / kidney function test Applicable gender: whether men and women apply fasting: not fasting Tips: The middle part of the urine is taken for inspection. Female patients should not be mixed with vaginal discharge and menstrual blood. Male patients should not be mixed with prostatic fluid. Normal value The amount of urine in the whole day is 2/3~3/4, the proportion of nocturia is >1.018, and the difference between the highest daily urine volume and the lowest specific gravity is >0.009. Clinical significance Abnormal results: In the collection of each specimen, if there is a urine specific gravity of 1.025 or more, the concentration function is good; a urine specific gravity is as low as 1.003, indicating that the dilution function is good. When the amount of urine at night exceeds the amount of urine in the day, it suggests a decrease in renal function. The greater the difference in urine specific gravity, the better the renal function; when the kidney function is severely damaged, the specific gravity of urine can be fixed at about 1.010, which is seen in the late stage of chronic nephritis, hypertension, and renal arteriosclerosis. Need to check the crowd: patients with abnormal renal function. Precautions Preparation before inspection: 1. One day (24 hours) of the test, the diet should be scheduled according to normal conditions. 2. The urine volume for each test is 5~10 ml. Requirements for inspection: 1. Discharge a portion of the urine first to remove the bacteria left in the urethra and the anterior urethra, and then take the middle urine for inspection. 2, female patients should not mix with vaginal discharge and menstrual blood, male patients should not mix with prostatic fluid. Inspection process Normal consumption during the test, the water content of each meal should not exceed 500 ~ 600ml, no more liquid except the normal meal, urinating at 8 o'clock in the morning, from 10 am, 12 am, 2, 4, 6, 8 pm and At 8 o'clock in the morning, each urine was given 1 time. The urine volume and specific gravity were accurately measured. It should be noted that the interval between urination must be accurate and the urine should be drained. Nocturnal urine is from 8 pm to 8 am. Not suitable for the crowd No taboos. Adverse reactions and risks Nothing.
