LHRH test

The LHRH test is a gonadotropin releasing hormone test. The LHRH test has important significance in the differential diagnosis of constitutional puberty development and male hypogonadotropic sexual dysfunction. Basic Information Specialist classification: growth and development check classification: biochemical examination Applicable gender: whether men and women apply fasting: fasting Tips: Coffee, tea, high sugar and cola drinks should be fasted before blood collection. Normal value The LHRH test results are consistent with normal metrics. Clinical significance Abnormal results: The LHRH test can be used to differentially diagnose constitutional puberty and low gonadotropin dysfunction in men. People who need to be examined: patients with delayed constitutional puberty and low gonadotropin dysfunction in men. Precautions Taboo before inspection: 1. Coffee, tea, high sugar and cola beverages should be fasted before blood collection. 2, keep a normal work schedule, do not stay up late. 3, if there is a history of dizziness, fainting, please inform the blood collection nurse, in order to take preventive measures. 4. Roll the sleeves to 5 cm above the elbow joint before blood collection. Requirements for examination: Blood is collected in a calm state after intravenous injection of LHRH to avoid emotional agitation. Inspection process All patients were in the first stage of reproductive development. During the test, the patient was given intravenous LHRH 100 μg, and 3 ml of blood was taken at -15, 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 min, respectively. Serum corpus luteum formation was determined by radioimmunoassay. Prime (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) levels. After that, the patient was followed up every 3 to 24 months in the clinic, and it was traced until after the age of 18 until the diagnosis of normal puberty. According to their puberty, the patients were divided into normal puberty group (n=34), CDP group (n=16) and HH group (n=31). The ages of the three groups of patients receiving the LHRH stimulation test were (10.2 ± 0.9) years (9 to 14 years), (16.0 ± 1.0) years (14 to 18 years) and (17.1 ± 1.4) years (16 to 22 years). Results In the normal group, there was no difference in serum LH basal value and peak time between CDP group and HH group. The difference between serum LH peak, serum LH peak value and basal value was serum LH increase value, serum LH increase multiple and serum LH curve. The lower area (AUCLH) was significantly higher in the normal group than in the CDP group and the HH group (P < 0.001), and the CDP group was also significantly higher than the HH group (P < 0.001). In the three groups of subjects, the serum LH peak and LH increase value were plotted against the LHRH excitation test performance curve (ROC). According to ROC, the following two indicators can be determined: serum LH peak 8 IU/L, serum LH increment . Not suitable for the crowd Inappropriate population: patients who are sensitive to exogenous gonadotropin-releasing hormone. Adverse reactions and risks No related complications or hazards.
