Trichomonas vaginalis test

The Trichomonas vaginalis test is an auxiliary test for examining parasites. Trichomonasvaginalis (Donne 1837) is a flagellate that is parasitic in the vagina and urinary tract of the human body. It mainly causes trichomonas vaginitis and urethritis. It is an infectious disease mainly caused by sexual transmission. Through this examination, the corresponding symptoms can be judged. Trichomonas vaginitis spreads all over the world. It is estimated that the number of women infected in the United States is 3 million per year, and the world is 180 million. Foreign data indicate that the infection rate of trichomoniasis is related to the number of sexual contacts, and the infection rate of adult virgins is zero. The infection rate of trichomoniasis in China in the 1950s was about 20% for married women. Basic Information Specialist classification: gynecological examination classification: vaginal secretion examination Applicable gender: whether women are fasting: not fasting Analysis results: Below normal: Normal value: no Above normal: negative: A negative test result indicates that the body is free of trichomoniasis. Positive: A positive test result indicates that the subject may have trichomoniasis infection. Tips: Do not take anti-parasitic drugs before checking. Normal value The vaginal pathogen was not detected as negative. Clinical significance Abnormal result 1, candida vaginitis vulvovaginal itching, cheese-like or bean dregs-like vaginal discharge, the vagina has a white pseudomembrane. The fungus was positive. 2, bacterial vaginosis 1 non-suppurative grayish white viscous vaginal secretions; 2 vaginal secretions have fishy smell, positive amine test; 3 vaginal secretions increased in pH, 5.0 ~ 5.5; There are clue cells in the 4 secretions. People who need to be examined for vaginal abnormalities. Positive results may be diseases: genitourinary trichomoniasis, trichomoniasis, vaginal trichomoniasis, trichomonas vaginitis, trichomonal vulvitis, trichomonas urethritis, intestinal trichomoniasis considerations Contraindications before the test: Do not take anti-parasitic drugs before the test, so as not to affect the results. Requirements for examination: When taking secretions, the doctor should handle it lightly and try to match the patient's feelings. The doctor carefully handles the test and checks it carefully. Inspection process 1. Hanging drop method: Hanging drop method is the simplest method to check Trichomonas vaginalis, the positive rate can reach 80%~90%. Apply the specimen to the slide, add 1 drop of normal saline, add a cover slip, and use 100-200 times microscopic examination to see the protozoal flagellar fluctuation membrane activity. Add 5% neutral red to normal saline. Trichomonas can not die, do not stain, and form pink around, easy to recognize white protozoa, or drop 1 to 16 times acridine orange solution into fresh specimens. Observed by fluorescence microscope, it can be seen that the worm has a yellowish-green fluorescence, which is particularly good-looking. The detection rate of direct microscopic examination is extremely high. 2. Smear staining method: The secretion is applied to the slide, and after being naturally dried, it can be dyed with different dyeing liquids, such as Gram stain, Reiter stain, Giemsa stain, PAS staining and Leishman staining. This method not only sees the shape and content of the trichomoniasis, but also sees other microorganisms present in the vagina. It can also be stained with acridine orange and examined by fluorescence microscopy. 3. Culture method: vaginal secretions or urethral secretions are added to the medium, cultured in a 37 ° C incubator for 48 hours, inoculated once every 72 hours, and a smear of the culture mixture is taken and stained for microscopy. 4. Immunological methods: detection of specific antigens of Trichomonas vaginalis. Commonly used immunological methods include fluorescent antibody test, ELISA method, latex agglutination method, etc., and the positive rate is higher than that of the smear method, but the clinical examination is generally not carried out by immunological methods. Not suitable for the crowd The test is a non-invasive test with no specific contraindications. Adverse reactions and risks Risk of infection: If you use a dirty vaginal device, you may be at risk of infection.
