CT scan of the pancreas

Pancreatic CT is a method of examining the pancreas by CT. Indications: 1. Clinically suspected pancreatic tumors. 2. Look for the cause of pancreas in obstructive jaundice. 3. Explore pancreatitis and its complications. Basic Information Specialist classification: growth and development check classification: CT Applicable gender: whether men and women apply fasting: fasting Tips: Fasting for more than 6 hours before the examination, except for myocardial imaging examination. Normal value Normal CT imaging The head, body and tail of the pancreas are on the same level, and their shape and size are normal. The duodenal ring surrounds the head of the pancreas, and the aorta, superior mesenteric artery, and splenic vein are clearly visible. Clinical significance 1. Identify the location, shape, size, and extent of invasion of the pancreatic tumor to determine the treatment plan. 2. Identify the nature of the mass in the pancreatic area (the pancreas itself and around the pancreas), cystic, vascular, calcified, inflammatory or fatty. 3. Track, observe and evaluate the effects of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. 4. Can be combined with interventional examination and treatment. Precautions 1. Fasting for more than 6 hours before the examination, except for myocardial imaging examination. 2, please pay attention to diabetic patients, explain the diabetes condition to the central medical staff at the time of appointment. 3. The micro-radioactive drugs used for diagnosis and injection have no health effects on you and the surrounding people, but if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, please tell your doctor. 4, the patient must make an appointment in advance before the examination, because it can not be checked on time, please call 24 hours in advance to cancel the inspection or re-appointment time, so as not to cause drug waste. 5, children or critically ill patients should be accompanied by medical staff. 6. Bring all medical information (including medical records, laboratory results, ultrasound, ECT, CT, MRI, pathology, surgery or treatment) to the PET/CT Center on the day of the examination. Inspection process 1. Prepare for inspection. 2. Inspection methods and scanning parameters: (1) Flat sweep: 1 Scanning position: supine position, the body is placed in the middle of the bed, and the arms are raised on both arms. 2 scanning method: continuous scanning of cross section. 3 Positioning scan: Determine the scanning range, layer thickness, and layer spacing. 4 scanning range: all pancreas are included from the 11th thoracic vertebra or the upper edge of the 1st lumbar vertebra. 5 Scanning rack tilt angle: Scan the rack 0°. 6 scan field (FOV): body range. 7 scanning layer thickness: 3 ~ 5mm. 8 scanning interval: 3 ~ 5mm. 9 reconstruction algorithm: soft tissue or standard algorithm. 10 scan parameters: according to CT model settings. (2) Enhanced scanning: 1 contrast agent dosage: 80 ~ 100ml ionic or non-ionic iodine containing contrast agent. 2 injection method: intravenous injection of pressure syringe or pressurized rapid push bolus injection, the injection rate is generally 2 ~ 3ml / s. 3 Scanning start time: continuous scanning (8 to 10 s scanning period) after 60 to 80 ml injection. 4 Delayed scan: If necessary, delay scanning after 5 to 30 minutes after injection of iodine-containing contrast agent. 5 Other scanners and scan parameters: same as plain scan. (3) Spiral scan: It can make the blood vessels around the pancreas show very clear, and the pancreatic parenchyma can be strengthened to the greatest extent, thus improving the detection rate of pancreatic lesions and clearly showing the tumor invasion of blood vessels. The layer thickness is 4 to 5 mm, the layer spacing is 2 to 5 mm, and the pitch is 1.0 to 1.25. Enhanced scan: 30 to 40 s spiral scan after the injection of the bolus injection method. During the scan, the patient breathes in a calm breath. 3. Photo film requirements (1) Shoot the positioning piece, sweep and enhance the image in sequence. (2) The image display adopts soft tissue window, window position L30~50HU, window width W200~400HU. (3) Measure the CT value and size of the lesion, and measure the change of CT value before and after the enhancement of the lesion if necessary. Not suitable for the crowd 1. Serious heart, liver and kidney dysfunction. 2. Allergic to iodine contrast agents. 3. The condition is seriously difficult to cooperate with. Adverse reactions and risks A delayed allergic reaction may occur.
