Catecholamines

Catecholamines are hormones secreted by the adrenal medulla, adrenal neurons, and extra-adrenal chromophores, including epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine, and dopa. However, the adrenal medulla only releases adrenaline and norepinephrine, and is mainly adrenaline. Epinephrine and norepinephrine, which are released by hormones, have the effects of sympathetic nerves, promoting cardiovascular metabolism, promoting energy metabolism, and raising blood sugar. Determination of urinary catecholamines is valuable for the diagnosis of pheochromocytoma. Allow 24 hours of urine, use concentrated hydrochloric acid 5 ~ 10ml as a preservative, take 10ml for inspection. Basic Information Specialist classification: urinary examination classification: urine / kidney function test Applicable gender: whether men and women apply fasting: not fasting Tips: Actively cooperate with the doctor during the examination. Normal value High performance liquid chromatography <650 nmol / 24h. Fluorescence analysis <1655nmol / 24h. Clinical significance Reduced in Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, adrenalectomy, rheumatic fever, malnutrition, etc. Increased in pheochromocytoma, neuroblastoma, cerebral infarction, myasthenia gravis, progressive muscular dystrophy, hypoglycemia, myocardial infarction, manic psychosis, etc. High results may be diseases: bladder pheochromocytoma, tumor of the mediastinal paraganglia origin, pediatric nephroblastoma, ventricular premature contraction, childhood mood disorder, neuroblastoma, mucinous valvular disease in the elderly, accessory nerve Tumors of origin, elderly hypertension, mediastinal cysts and tumor precautions (1) use of vitamin C, vitamin B2, chlorpromazine, ampicillin, adrenaline, chloral hydrate, methyldopa, tetracycline, diazepam, caffeine, reserpine, meperidine and antihypertensives Etc. can affect the measurement results. (2) If fluorescence analysis is used, the subject should fast off the items containing fluorescent reactions such as tea, coffee, chocolate, eggplant, tomato, banana, lemon juice, etc. 3 days before the test. (3) After strenuous exercise, the results of the mentally stressed person can be increased. Inspection process (1) Collect 24h urine: Pre-concentrate 5ml of hydrochloric acid in the urine collection bottle as preservative, and record the total amount of urine. (2) Hydrolysis: 50 ml of urine was placed in a 100 ml flask, and dilute sulfuric acid was added to adjust the pH to 2.0. The urine sample was boiled for 1 min and cooled with cold water. (3) Adsorption and elution: Add 3g of activated alumina to the above triangular flask, coarsely adjust the pH value to near neutral with 5mol/L sodium hydroxide, and finely adjust the pH value to 8.2-8.4 with 0.5mol/L sodium hydroxide. Shake for 5 min. After standing for 2 min, the supernatant was decanted. The bottle of alumina suspension was then poured into a column chromatography tube (the bottom of the tube was filled with glass or sand core, tube diameter 10 mm). After drying, it was washed once with about 10 ml of 0.2 mol/L sodium acetate solution and twice with double-distilled water for about 2 ml each time. After drying by filtration, elution was carried out with about 50 ml of a 0.2 mol/L acetic acid solution, and the eluate was collected, and the volume was measured and added to 50 ml with an eluent. (4) n-butanol treatment: 20 ml of n-butanol was added to the above eluate, and shaken for 2 min. After standing for a while to clarify the solution, the above n-butanol was aspirated to obtain a clear eluate. (5) Take 3 tubes of 15×150mm and indicate the measuring tube (U), standard tube (S) and blank tube (B). Not suitable for the crowd Generally there are no people who are not suitable. Adverse reactions and risks Generally no adverse reactions.
